As a community ophthalmologist in Newcastle for over 20 years, Dr Anthony Dunlop cares for patients with a wide variety of conditions such as Cataract, Glaucoma and minor lid disorders.
Dr Anthony Dunlop studied medicine at the University of Sydney, going on to train in Ophthalmology at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney.
He completed a Medical Retina and Uveitis fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, under the guidance of Professor Susan Lightman.
He works in Private Practice in Newcastle, Nelson Bay and Forster. He is a VMO at the John Hunter Hospital consulting and teaching at 2 uveitis and medical retina clinics each month. He performs public ophthalmic surgery at Belmont and Kurri Hospitals and operates privately at Lingard Private Hospital, Merewether and Hunter Valley Private Hospital, Shortland.

Dr Dunlop is widely published for the past 30 years and is a reviewer for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology. He frequently presents at educational meetings for Optometrists, Medical students, Surgical nurses as well as local and international ophthalmic meetings.
